Privacy

We collect almost nothing, and we will say exactly what.

This site loads nothing from anyone else and sets no cookies, unless you agree to analytics. Nothing is requested from Google before you choose, and if you decline, nothing ever is.

Who is responsible

Concentric Digital is the data controller for the processing described here. Questions about any of it, including a request to see or delete what we hold, go to the address below and are answered by a person.

What is collected, and when

Four things. Two of them happen only because you chose to let them.

What you type into the contact form

Your name, your email address, the message itself, and optionally your company and which platform you are asking about. Two more fields travel with it automatically: the language you were reading in and the page you sent it from, so we can reply in the right language and know what you were looking at.

Ordinary server logs

Our hosting provider records requests to the server, including IP address, time and browser identification. This happens for every website on the internet and is part of running a server rather than a decision we made. We do not build anything from these logs and do not connect them to anything else.

A one-way fingerprint, to stop spam

When the contact form is submitted, an irreversible hash of the sending IP address is stored for one hour so the same connection cannot send unlimited messages. It cannot be turned back into an address, it is never used for anything else, and it is discarded automatically. We chose this over a CAPTCHA precisely because a CAPTCHA would report you to a third party.

Analytics, but only if you agreed

If you accepted the banner, Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics run while you read. They set cookies in your browser and tell Google about your visit: which pages you opened, roughly where you are, what device and browser you used, and how you arrived. If you declined, or have not answered, none of it happens and Google is never contacted. The button further down this page changes your answer at any time.

Why we are allowed to

For the contact form, because you asked us to answer you: GDPR Article 6(1)(b), steps taken at your request before a possible contract, and Article 6(1)(f), our legitimate interest in replying to a business enquiry. For the logs and the spam check, Article 6(1)(f), our legitimate interest in keeping the site available and not drowning in automated submissions. For analytics, your consent: Article 6(1)(a). That is why we ask instead of assuming, and why you can take it back whenever you like.

Who else can see it

As few as possible, and no one who is paying us for the privilege.

Our hosting provider

The site and its mail are hosted in Romania by Hostico, inside the EU. They process what passes through the server on our behalf and for no purpose of their own.

Our email provider

An enquiry arrives in our mailbox on this host and is forwarded to a company mailbox on Google Workspace, provided in Europe by Google Ireland Limited. Google processes it on our behalf, and may do so on servers outside the EEA. Those transfers are covered by the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework and by the standard contractual clauses in Google’s data processing terms.

Google, if you agreed to analytics

Google Ireland Limited processes your visit on our behalf through Google Analytics, and may do so on servers outside the EEA, covered by the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework. Decline, and Google receives nothing and is never contacted.

Nobody else

We do not sell, rent or share anything from this site. Beyond the three above there is no advertising network, no marketing platform and no lead service.

How long it is kept

Cookies, analytics and tracking

Only if you agree to them. We ask once, with a banner that is as easy to refuse as to accept, and we remember the answer in your browser rather than in a cookie. Decline, or ignore it, and every request your browser makes while reading this site goes to this site: no analytics, no cookies, nothing requested from Google at all. Agree, and we load Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics, which set cookies and tell Google that you visited. You can change your mind at any time using the button below. Fonts are served from this domain rather than from a font service, and there are no embedded videos, maps, chat widgets or social media widgets either way. The link to our LinkedIn page in the footer is an ordinary link: nothing is requested from LinkedIn until you click it.

What you can ask for

Under the GDPR you can ask us to:

  • tell you what we hold about you, and give you a copy
  • correct anything that is wrong
  • delete it
  • restrict what we do with it, or object to it entirely
  • hand it to you in a portable form
  • stop the analytics, by withdrawing your consent in the cookies section above

Write to the address below. We will answer within a month, and we will not ask you to prove who you are beyond what is needed to be sure.

If we get it wrong, you can complain to the Romanian supervisory authority, ANSPDCP, at dataprotection.ro, or to the authority where you live.

Changes to this notice

If what the site does changes, this page changes with it, and the date at the top moves. There is no mailing list to notify, because we do not have one.

Ask us anything on this page

A privacy question is answered by the same people who built the thing it is about, which is the advantage of a company this size.
